Climbed aboard replicas of the Nina and Pinta today. These are small ships! It helps me understand John Wesley's fear as waves were washing over his ship on trips on the ocean. Also makes all the more powerful the peace that the Moravian Christians exhibited while on the same ship. Wesley knew they had something he didn't have. Wesley at that point had a knowledge and works association with Jesus while later he would come to have a personal & experiential, grace-filled relationship with his Lord. He was still a tireless servant for his Lord but now the work was born out of relationship rather than religious duty. John Wesley was a great combination: a Spirit-empowered hard-worker. My guess is his spiritual gifts included Leadership, Administration and Knowledge. Alternatively they could be Apostleship, Administration and Teaching. How are you using your spiritual gifts?
